So I thought that since I'm mostly bored every night because Chad is in school, I would start writing on this thing even though, honestly, I lead a pretty boring life. Anyway, people are busy and it's much easier to log onto a computer and read about other people's lives than pick up the phone and call, so anyway, here goes...
A little background -
My name is Kelley and I'm a 24 year old professional. I graduated from college two years ago and six months after graduation, while trying to figure out what to do with my life, fate threw me a curve I did NOT see coming.
I met Chad in June of '06 on the first day of my new job - he was my new co-worker. I thought he was cute, but didn't think much else. I was deep into my bar hopping stage and was basically only into guys who weren't into me or were potentially self-destructive in various ways. Because I have a big mouth, I shared all my crazy guy/bar/nights out stories with my co-workers (usually not the best idea) and Chad and I became fast friends. Needless to say, I started developing a major crush on this guy. He was cute, smart, and really funny. He was also a Marine which was appealing in itself - gotta love that man in uniform thing! Anyway, we started going to lunch together every day and I pulled every flirty move I could think of, but he remained pretty immune to my "feminine wiles." FINALLY after 6 months of 8 hour a day flirting and after work phone calls that lasted for hours, he made his move. After freaking out a couple of times after, he decided to get serious with me and we have been together since December.
In May, Chad bought a house and I moved in with him which has definitely been a fun adventure. Nothing like living with a boy in a little cottage house with one bathroom! In all seriousness, our house is gorgeous and I could not be happier. We added to the happiness in July with the addition of Jake, our Labrador/Great Dane mix puppy (my idea).
So anyway, here are our adventures, boring as they may be to everyone else out there, at least we'll have some kind of written history. And maybe get some ideas on raising a puppy, decorating, and other stuff that goes along with being an adult! :)
