The 3 W's - Weight Loss, Wrinkles, and Wedding Plans

I went for my makeup consultation last week and walked out looking like a rock star (in a good way). I haven't had my makeup professionally done in years and have been trudging along, following my "instincts" and the reviews on products I find on makeupalley.com. Kiki, my new best friend and makeup artist for both my wedding and bridal portrait did total 180 on me and I went from looking like a no make up earth mother to a very sophisticated woman, complete with eyebrow grooming, which I did not know existed. The only downfall of my experience was the close up mirror that seemed to highlight one thing in my eyes - the newly appearing wrinkles beside my eyes and mouth - "fine lines" to some, "laugh lines" to others, but "bane of my existence" to me. Thus begins my quest on researching topics such as Botox, Restalyn, and various other anti-aging products that can cost upwards of $200. Crazy. Even though I am still being carded for the occasional bottle of wine I buy, time is still marching grandly on, apparently across my face. So if anyone knows of any "anti-aging" products, or an entire line of products for that matter, please let me know.
On the weight loss front - I am down 23 lbs from November of last year when my doctor told me to basically get off my fat *bleep* and exercise. First it was a devastating moment in my life - I went from skinny girl who could eat Big Macs to an actual Big Mac in a matter of months. The Freshman 15 found me - several years after I graduated from college. Now it's a mind over matter situation - or a mind over Chick-Fil-A/spaghetti/chili beans matter. I am almost back down to my goal weight - less than 20 lbs to go, which is AMAZING and I am proud of myself. No crazy diet pills or shakes or whatever - just hard work and watching what I eat. I did chow down on a Pete's cheeseburger plate with half & half and tea, but I also work out 3 times a week, so I deserve a BREAK.
Wedding planning is still going and taking shape. I am ready for it to be over with and go on my honeymoon! Just a few more weeks to go...
