Happy Halloween!

I love Halloween. I do, I admit it. I think it's because I was not allowed to celebrate it when I was young enough to go trick or treating that I try to make up for it as an adult. I was raised in a Pentecostal church growing up which frowned on Halloween as "the devil's holiday." Instead of being able to trick-or-treat with my friends, I was holed up in a Sunday school room watching Gospel Bill videos. Can you tell I'm still bitter?!
So tonight, with my wonderful husband and my mom (who has since changed her hard core views on Halloween to be more fun loving and, um, normal) and step-father (who is a Halloween fan to the core), I am going to pass out candy to the neighborhood kids. Currently, I am dressed as a witch...not a scary one, just one with purple striped tights and a fun hat. I may get crazy and add some face glitter or something for the night's festivites.
To everyone out there who feels my pain from Halloween past, I hope that you celebrate with happiness and joy tonight - and SAFETY! Trick-or-Treat!!!
