First of all, I found a wonderful lady who has sewing classes starting in May. Yup, that's right, I will be on my way to winning the title of "Suzy Homemaker 2009" come May 4! If anyone is interested in taking lessons and is from the Upstate, please let me know. The class is 6 weeks long (Monday nights 6-8pm), is $95 plus materials, and you don't need your own sewing machine. She was recommended to me by the nice people at Hancock Fabrics, which, by the way has some pretty cool "you don't need to sew this" home stuff!
In other news, you may remember me mentioning our adopted cat, Smokey Lonesome. Well, obviously, neither I nor my hubby majored in anatomy because it turns out that he is really a she and we are 99% sure she is preggers. Either that or we have a kitty with a weight problem. But regardless, our cat is a girl cat. We think that we've met her Tom as well - I'm not impressed. He has a big face. She could do so much better.
Chad and I have been reading up on cats and pregnant cats and blah blah blah and basically we're going to have to take her the vet to make sure she is healthy and doesn't have Feline HIV. Or something like that. We also watched a video of a cat giving birth online (yeah, our Saturday night entertainment) and I was horrified and fascinated and grossed out. Not necessarily in that order.
We're live on Animal Farm at the moment. Donations accepted.
