I have moved beyond irritation...

Update:
My mother is a saint. After telling her of our latest dryer woes, she gave me the number to her maintenance man (and also offered to pay for it). Now I'm wondering why I didn't just call him to begin with. Well, this blog doesn't have "crazy" in its title for nothing! Anyhoo, Mr. Maintenance Man is coming tomorrow, hopefully with a large bag of tools and the brain of Al Einstein...and perhaps, in the sunny afternoon, you will hear the sounds of our dead dryer, slowly coming back to life...

I am now in a new place I like to call "pissed." No, it's not the nicest word, but it pretty much sums up my existence at the moment.

I am pissed about several things:

1. The new dryer that SIL & BIL brought over does not actually dry the clothes. Not in any regular clothes drying amount of time anyway. They brought over the dryer and I was so thrilled because, well, I haven't had a dryer in two weeks. I rewarded their efforts with steaks and baked potatoes. And after they left, I loaded up a load of towels because we don't have any clean ones. Three cycles later and thirty minutes late for work looking like I just got ran over, the towels still aren't completely dry. Perhaps it had something to do with the dryer being stored in a barn? Evidently beggars really can't be choosers.

2. The old dryer is still in our tiny mudroom. How could that possibly fit in there you ask? EXACTLY. It doesn't. It looks like we are trying to start our own used appliance store or something. I asked Chad to please please please take it outside and put it down in the garage or burn it in effegy or something, but he didn't. Because he is male and things like "clutter" or "fifteen used appliances in our tiny mudroom" don't seem to bother him.

3. Our kitchen painting project is still in the beginning stages. There's a large splotch of yellow paint on one wall, border down on two walls and up on the rest. It's a good look for our home.

Anyway, that's just a little snapshot of my morning. Here's hoping the rest of the day goes just a teeny bit better.
