Engaged!

YES! It has finally happened! Chad and I are officially engaged, as of Wednesday, February 13, 2008. For all the details of the proposal, visit my page on theknot.com.
So for the past week, I have been planning my dream wedding. And for all of you out there that think it's crazy to start planning a wedding immediately, think again. Chad and I plan to be married in 2008, which meant that not only did we have to find a venue to have the wedding, we actually have to plan out all the minute details in less than 7 months. Thank GOODNESS for wonderful friends to serve as attendants, supportive future in-laws, and a mother who doesn't work!!!
As of last night, we have a location for the ceremony/reception - The Gassaway Mansion in Greenville. It is a beautiful place, built in 1919, that has all the original architecture of that time period. From the Italian tile floors in the entryway, to the beautiful hardwoods, and moldings, it really will be a wonderful place to be married and I am so looking forward to it. Originally, I had wanted more of a casual wedding, but it is turning in to a more formal event, which is fine, too. All that matters to me is that my wonderful fiance and I are making a covenant before God to be together until death parts us (MANY YEARS FROM NOW!). God is so good!
