It's Official

Chad and I have officially been married for 10 days. It's unbelievable to me that we are finally united as man and wife, have the reception and honeymoon behind us, and our whole lives to look forward to together.
I want to brag on my husband a bit. While I was waiting in the bridal room, a note from Chad was delivered to me. He had written me a tender letter, again professing his love and all the things he promised me. His sweetness again blew me away and of course I cried, as did the bridesmaids who were reading it over my shoulder.
After many failed relationships and bad decisions in my past that have haunted me, I finally understood what I had been told since childhood - God has the perfect mate designed for everyone, they just need to be patient and trust in Him. It's so true. I don't believe anyone fully believes it or understands it until they are in the moment and it is happening, but that is what faith is - believing in what the eyes don't see. I had faith, even in times of heartbreak and doubt, that the Lord had a bigger plan in store for me. Sometimes I wondered about His timing, but I can't believe how perfect His timing really is!
I can't believe how blessed I am at this moment, back to the daily grind of "real life." I am overflowing with happiness and excitement. There are going to be hard times ahead, times that again test my faith, but God remains true to His promises and with all that is in us, Chad and I will remain true to ours - to Him and to each other.
