Please be in prayer for Chad today. He found a small lump in his cheek, possibly due to the dipping habit that he's had for years, and is going to the oral surgeon today for a consult/biopsy. No, the "C" word has not been mentioned or anything, but it's a possibility. God is on the throne and in control, and has not given us a spirit of fear, but it's difficult not to feel anxious in times of uncertainty.
One of the bloggers I keep up with wrote a touching note to his wife in honor of their anniversary today and challenged readers to write why they love their spouses. I thought that even though today is not an anniversary or birthday or anything "special", it would be a wonderful time for me to tell my husband the reasons why I love him. So get ready to gag.
- Chad is the most loving person I know. He wants to hug me at all hours of the day. Even though this can be somewhat annoying at times, I know without a shadow of a doubt that my husband loves me.
- He is ambitious. He is working and going to school full time. He is taking advantage of his GI Bill to make our lives in the future better. He works hard at what he does, be it school or work.
-He is a great dad. Even though we don't have children together yet, I know that Chad is going to be a wonderful father to our kids because I have had the opportunity to already see it. Chadee lights up his world and I know that she knows that her daddy loves her. Not a lot of little girls nowadays know that.
-He is brave. I didn't realize how important bravery was in a man, but now that I have a former soldier sleeping next to me at night, I understand it. Women do want to be protected and taken care of and I know that I am safe with my husband.
-He likes to have fun. When people first meet Chad, they don't realize how funny he is because he can come across as quiet at first. But no one loves to cut up and have a good time more than him. Laughter is good medicine and Chad is the laughing doctor.
-He loves the Lord with all his heart, soul, and mind. I have dated guys in the past that don't give God the time of day. Chad is the opposite, even though when I first met him he was still struggling with what he believed in. Chad prays for me and for our entire family. Out loud. I know that he prays for me throughout the day.
I am a lucky girl, I know this. I should tell him that more. But Chad, I love you!
